Telecommunication lightning surge: Telecom Surge
Lightning surge tests are used to simulate the effects of natural lightning strikes or pulses generated when large capacitive loads are connected to the grid. Includes power side and signal side tests.
* Power side test
It includes L and N lines, L to the protected area, N lines to the protected area, and L&N to the protected area, among which the first type belongs to differential mode interference, and the last three types are common mode interference.
* Signal side test
If it is a shielded line, the interference is applied to the shielding layer. If it is a ground line, the interference is applied to the signal line, for example, to the user line, directly to the AB line.
The surge waveform includes: 1.2/50(8/20) combination wave and 10/700 voltage wave, among which 1.2/50(8/20) waveform is used in the test of the power supply end and indoor signal end, while 10/700 voltage wave is used in the surge test of the outdoor signal end.
1.2, 8 and 10 in the above waveforms all refer to the wavefront time of the waveforms, and the unit is US. 50, 20 and 700 refer to the pulse width of the waveforms, and the unit is also US. It can be seen that the energy of the surge waveforms is much larger than EFT/B and electrostatic, but the interference frequency width is much narrower.
Power line induction:
* The power line induction test is mainly carried out for outdoor cables and non-shielded balanced cables with a length of 500m. For example, the test mainly simulates that such outdoor cables may be exposed to induction interference from power lines due to long routing distance and possible parallel routing with power lines.
Power lines contact:
* electric touch is a fault test, in view of the interface for outdoor walk line, the line grew up in the 500 m and for the balance of the shielding line, such as account, analog power line directly received the cable, when the power line and the cable insulating paint peeling off for long time can produce the power problem, mainly for a flow phenomenon.
* It is divided into long distance induction, medium distance induction and short distance induction. Long distance induction simulates power line and balance line touching at a far distance from EUT. The principle of medium and short distance is the same. In the laboratory, 600 ohm resistors, 200 ohm resistors and 10 ohm resistors were used for long, medium and short distances.
