The Communications Authority of Hong Kong (OFCA) is a government department that supports the Communications Authority (CA) in managing and administering the radio spectrum and telecommunications approvals. OFCA has transferred responsibility for type approval of telecommunications and radio equipment to a certification body called the Local Certification Authority (LCB).

Suppliers or manufacturers of equipment within the scope of technical standards must ensure that their equipment meets the technical requirements specified in the CA or HKTEC Program or the technical standards specified or approved by the HKTEC Program or HKCA Specifications.

China Taiwan

BSMI Taiwan is responsible for standardization, measurement and product inspection in Taiwan. The agency aims to protect consumers' rights and ensure that goods produced for domestic use or imported meet inspection requirements before they are put on the market.BSMI IS committed to promoting standardization, measurement and inspection systems in accordance with international practice.

The Taiwan commodity inspection system consists of four programs introduced by BSMI. They apply to all regulated products. The BSMI certification process covers safety regulations, electromagnetic compatibility and related tests. This step must be completed before the product can be authorized to use the BSMI commodity inspection mark.

There are four mandatory inspection programs that need to meet product inspection requirements:

Type APPROVAL BATCH INSPECTION (TABI) - Applications with DOCUMENTATION AND TEST reports WILL BE SUBMITTED TO THE BSMI

Supervised Inspection (MI) - Simplified batch by batch inspection system

Product Certification Registration (RPC) - An application with documentation and test reports will be submitted to the designated certification authority

Declaration of Compliance (DoC) - Applications with DoC have been submitted to BSMI. Applicant maintains technical documentation.

The selection of an appropriate conformity assessment procedure depends on product characteristics as well as other factors.

Applicants must be registered as a company in Taiwan. The product must conform to the China National Standards (CNS) for the specific product. Receive test reports from BSMI accredited laboratories. For some products, EMC compliance may also be required.
